The British Red Cross provides a range of services to help Hounslow residents affected by Covid-19 including:
National Covid-19 Support Line - 0808 196 3651
If you need support at the weekend, the support line is open 10am to 6pm seven days a week. The free and confidential support line can help with practical information and advice, emotional support, connecting people with support in the local area and organising food and prescription deliveries to vulnerable households.
If you may be feeling lonely, new free online resources are available to help build confidence, make connections and develop coping skills.
Coping with bereavement and grief
Bereavement is the period of sadness and loneliness that we experience from a loss. Those who experience loss as a consequence to COVID-19, or loss through another cause may experience increased trauma and may be cut off from some of their usual support network.
Our page aims to provide you with some resources to support you preparing for, or managing through, the bereavement process.
If you’re a carer looking after a vulnerable or frail person, Carers UK have advice regarding coronavirus on their website. This includes advice on creating a contingency plan to prepare for if you become unwell or unable to provide care.
Community support groups
The Community Information Guide is the directory of voluntary and community groups and organisations providing a whole range of services or activities for people living in the London Borough of Hounslow.
Health and wellbeing
If you are worried about your mental health or that of someone you know, it will help to talk to someone about it and we can help. Similarly, if you support or help someone who is struggling with their mental health, then the same can apply to you.
