We enforce building regulations, a set of legal requirements designed to ensure a minimum standard of building construction works.
This includes new and existing domestic and non-domestic buildings which are being modified, altered or extended. The regulations cover issues of health and safety and access in and around buildings, but also issues of sustainability, including heat-loss and water consumption.

Building control online services
While we transition to a new IT system, we are experiencing delays in the processing of forms submitted. We continue to work on this with our supplier and are currently testing a fix which should address the issue.
