Step up for Hounslow! Surge testing and increased vaccinations

The Secretary of State announced on Wednesday 19 May that surge testing and increased vaccination will be taking place in the London Borough of Hounslow to help tackle new variants of concern.

This is not an immediate cause for serious alarm, but equally it is not a time for complacency.

Find out how we’re stepping up to ensure that COVID-19 testing and vaccinations across Hounslow are easily accessible for all.

Roadmap out of lockdown

The UK will be coming out of lockdown over the next month following the Government's four-step roadmap announcement in March 2021.

Residents must continue to follow the restrictions, get tested regularly regardless of symptoms, and encourage each other to take the vaccine when we are offered it .

These are the things we need to do so we don't lose this opportunity and ensure there is a chance to return to normal life on 21 June.

As well as following the national rules, it’s also important we all keep doing the basics - wear a face covering, wash your hands regularly and keep a 2m distance from others.
