The last date that Hounslow’s Health Outreach Team will be giving free vaccinations across communities in the borough will be Thursday, 19 December.
Hounslow Council is encouraging all eligible residents to get vaccinated ahead of the Christmas break and ensure any plans they have are protected against illness, as well as alleviating pressure on local NHS services at the busiest time of year.
Flu and Covid-19 can lead to serious illness and throw people’s plans into ruins. They can also spread quickly among family members if meeting up, which can be especially dangerous for elderly or vulnerable relatives.
By taking the vaccines as soon as possible, people can join Hounslow’s Best Defenders like Eva and Herbert, keeping loved one and all Hounslow residents safe this winter.
Anyone can check their eligibility for the vaccines and book their appointments for Covid-19 and flu vaccinations on the respective NHS national booking sites.
The last available appointments bookable via the NHS booking sites are on 20 December, and as these are liable to get booked up quickly, it’s advisable to make an appointment as soon as possible.
Hounslow’s Health Outreach Team will be continuing to bring vaccines to the heart of communities around the borough in December alongside Jade Pharmacy, as they have been doing all autumn.
