
The Council’s craft market returns for the fifth annual celebration of local creativity, taking place in Bell Square, Hounslow High Street on Wednesday, 16 July from 11am-3pm.
Run by Learn Hounslow, the Council’s adult and community education offer, the market offers learners the opportunity to showcase their handmade products, gain valuable real-world experience, and connect with fellow makers and craft enthusiasts.
Open to the public, visitors can browse and purchase a diverse array of locally-crafted merchandise in a vibrant and welcoming setting.
Councillor Samia Chaudhary, Cabinet Member for Education, Children, Skills and Employment at Hounslow Council, said:
“Designed and Made in Hounslow is a celebration of the community, creativity, and craftmanship right here in Hounslow. It is a fantastic opportunity to connect with and support local artists and creatives. It is also a great place to learn more about the opportunities available to residents through the wide range of courses at Learn Hounslow. Through Hounslow’s Adult and Community Education the Council is able to support residents as they develop their professional and personal skills and abilities.”
Each year, Learn Hounslow empowers over 2,000 residents to explore creative pursuits, enhance their wellbeing, foster personal development and build essential skills for employment.
Designed and Made in Hounslow is a vibrant celebration of creativity. Organised by Learn Hounslow, it is open to all, there is no need to sign up, simply turn up on the day.
