
To celebrate the national “Love Parks Week” campaign, Hounslow Council is encouraging residents to get involved with their local park this summer.
Hounslow Council is running a series of events for Love Parks Week, which takes place on Friday 25 July to Monday 3 August. Residents can volunteer or make the most of the Council’s green spaces during this week with a number of activities. Highlights include:
- Free cycling training for adults in our parks such as Lampton Park, Hanworth Park or Heston Park.
- Volunteering in various Parks and Open Spaces such as Northcote Nature Reserve and Bridge House Pond.
- Recycled plastic craft creation workshop at Boston Manor Park.
- A woman’s walk- exploring wild wetlands at Waye Avenue with London Wildlife Trust.

Love Parks is a national campaign run by Keep Britain Tidy that aims to celebrate the numerous benefits parks bring to residents and communities.

With 160 parks and open spaces in Hounslow, we are incredibly proud of our green spaces that the wealth of benefits they bring for our residents.
Volunteering in our parks is so much more than simply doing a litter-pick: it’s about contributing to our much-loved green spaces and ensuring they are enjoyed by local communities for many years to come.

Residents and nature lovers can also access the Council’s Green Talk: an interactive platform that lists more than 120,000 trees in Hounslow. Residents also have the opportunity to adopt newly planted trees in the borough. Find out more about the platform here.
