Hounslow Council's Adult Services Info Shop will be on the road bringing information about local services to residents.
Published: Monday, 15th January 2024
We’re taking social care on the road in 2024 with a special ‘pop-up’ information stand.
The Info Shop is a roving service which brings information about what services are on offer and what help is available to venues throughout the borough.
It is staffed by the Community Information Team along with social workers and other Council staff who can offer visitors guidance and point them in the right direction for more help.
Information on offer includes everything from how to get more support if you’re finding it difficult to manage at home, what help is on offer for carers, information on health and wellbeing services and how to access education and employment opportunities.
The shop pops up at events and activities all over Hounslow throughout the year and you can find it at its frequent home at West Middlesex Hospital.
Its next appearance will be:
- Thursday, 18 January - West Middlesex Hospital Atrium between 10am and 3pm.
- Thursday, 22 February - West Middlesex Hospital Atrium between 10am and 3pm - with the Hounslow Borough Respiratory Support Group.
- Thursday, 21 March - West Middlesex Hospital Atrium between 10am and 3pm.
Hounslow Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Public Health and Transformation, Cllr Samia Chaudhary, said: “The Social Care Info Shop is a great way of raising awareness about the services available to support residents right in the hearty of the community. It will be visiting different venues throughout the year, so it’s the perfect chance to find out more.
“You don’t need an appointment, just turn up and our friendly team will be happy to help.”
