Hounslow Council is inviting residents to get involved in helping to realise the future visions of four of the borough’s major town centres.

The Town Centre Visions for Hounslow, Brentford, Feltham, and Chiswick were adopted by the Council earlier this year after being developed by the local community during 2021. The visions are designed to be a framework for action, to enable each town centre to flourish, guiding good growth and regeneration that works for local people.

The next round of engagement will focus on Hounslow Town Centre with in-person sessions taking place on Hounslow High Street between 1.00pm and 4.00pm and at Hounslow House between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Monday 3 October.

Cllr Tom Bruce, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Development, said:

“The regeneration of our town centres is a vital part of our ambitious plans for the future of the borough. We all want to create vibrant places where communities can live, work, study and spend their leisure time. We want to put Hounslow on the map.

“We really want residents to help us design the town centres so that they meet the needs and aspirations of the communities that use them most.”

“We can’t achieve everything overnight – but the start of this journey begins with us listening to you and working with you, our residents, our communities.”

The Council is looking to work with community and business partners to understand residents’ priorities and help stimulate growth in the town centres. The Hounslow Town Centre Vision document provides example proposals which would provide solutions to the problems residents identified. The engagement sessions will look to understand which of these issues are the highest priority for action and how we can work in partnership with our resident, visitor, and business communities to deliver them.

Tickets for the engagement event can be booked via Eventbrite or residents can turn up on the day without a booking.

The other town centre engagement sessions will continue to take place during the Autumn, including Chiswick Town Centre on Thursday 20 October.

Anyone that cannot attend one of the in-person sessions can have their say via the online survey.
