Hounslow Council names new Chief Executive

Hounslow Chief Executive Mandy Skinner

Mandy Skinner, Hounslow Council’s interim Chief Executive, has been appointed to the role permanently.

The decision was approved at a Full Council meeting on Tuesday 22 July. 

Councillor Shantanu Rajawat, the Leader of Hounslow Council, said:

“I’m delighted Mandy has been appointed as the council’s new Chief Executive.

“Mandy’s outstanding leadership – her vision, passion, professionalism and dedication – first as first our Assistant Chief Executive and then as Interim Chief Executive have been evident to all and we have benefited from her experience, knowledge and commitment. 

“She has been central to our ongoing transformation and improvement, and is liked and respected by colleagues, partners and members. It is great news that she will be playing this crucial role ensuring the Council continues to deliver our ambitions for Hounslow, in the challenging financial times that local government faces. “

Mandy Skinner said: 

“It is an honour to have been chosen as Hounslow Council’s new Chief Executive. Hounslow is an outstanding Council and an outstanding borough with a great future and huge potential.  There is a great deal to do to meet the challenges of the future and to seize the opportunities in front of us, but we have a clear vision for the future, we are ambitious for Hounslow, and I look forward to continuing our work to deliver our ‘One Hounslow’ approach, in keeping with our values.”
