Planning obligations (section 106)

S106 overview

These are legally binding contracts between local authorities and developers which are created under Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. These developer contributions aim to mitigate the impact of development including provisions for affordable housing, community facilities and other infrastructure related improvements.

Annual charges
