Sustrans – Big Walk and Wheel		Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel inspires pupils to make active journeys to school, to improve air quality in their neighbourhood and discover how these changes benefit their world.
Earth Day	22 April 2023	Earth Day is an annual celebration that honours the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earth's natural resources for future generations.
On Your Feet Day	28 April 2023	On Your Feet Britain Day is an awareness day to encourage desk-based workers across Britain to sit less and move more by participating in fun activities.
National Walking Month	May	National Walking Month is a great way to leave your car at home, get outside and get fit by walking to and from school. If school or work is too far, try walking part of the way instead. Take the Stairs - Instead of taking the lift or elevator, take the stairs.
Bike Month Cycle Challenge	May	This year Bike Week is all about workplace cycling, and we want to encourage as many workplaces as possible to support their staff to ride during the week, it can be anything from organising an event ride to simply encouraging staff to choose the bike instead of the car during the week.
Transport and Climate Change Week	May	The aim of the Transport and Climate Change Week is to learn from each other and to connect transport experts to foster global decarbonisation in transport
Walk to School Week	15 – 20 May 2023	Walk to School Week is a fun, inclusive, free, and simple activity, which improves the physical and mental wellbeing of children and celebrates walking for all. “Pupils enjoy the health and happiness that comes from walking, while schools and local communities enjoy reduced congestion and pollution.
Outdoor Classroom Day	17 May 2023	Outdoor Classroom Day is a global movement to make time outdoors part of every child’s day. On two days of action each year, teachers take children outdoors to play and learn. All year round, the Outdoor Classroom Day community campaigns for more time outdoors every day.
Clean Air Day	15 June 2023	National Clean Air Day is the UK's largest day of action to tackle air pollution. We can all do our bit to improve air quality. By walking or cycling to work and school we can improve our health through exercise and subsequently help to limit air pollution – where you can, walk those short distance trips and leave your car at home.
London Climate Action Week	5 – 11 June 2023	One of the largest independent climate change events that brings together businesses, politicians, and civil society on a global platform to create cutting-edge solutions harnessing the power of London as a leading global climate hub.
World Environment Day	5 June 2023	World Environment Day is a global platform for inspiring positive change. People from more than 150 countries participate in this United Nations international day, which celebrates environmental action and the power of governments, businesses, and individuals to create a more sustainable world.
Bike Week	June	Bike Week is an annual celebration of cycling, in partnership with Cycling UK, with the aim of encouraging more people to cycle more often. Cycling is a brilliant way to help our bodies and minds stay healthy, helping us to get outside and active.
Brake’s Kid Walk	June	Brake’s Kids Walk is a great way to inspire and engage children about the dangers they face and raise awareness among parents and the wider community about the need to protect children on roads.
The Great Big Green Walk	10-18 June 2023	The national campaign is an annual celebration of everything environmentally friendly, zero-waste and nature-related, and hopes to teach residents how to live more sustainable lives.
Bike to School Week	8-15 June 2023	Cycle to School Week is a week-long event where families are encouraged to try cycling and scooting to school.
The Brentford Canal Festival	24 June 3pm to 7pm

Walk to Work Day	4 July Time TBC	Held the first Friday of April since 2004, National Walk to Work Day encourages people to get out of their cars and pound the pavement on their way to and from the office.
Disability Awareness Day	16 July	Disability Awareness Day is a yearly event that aims to spread information and promote services that are available to help disabled people to live more independently
Catch the Bus Week	July TBC	Catch the Bus Week is a nationwide campaign aimed at driving awareness of the benefits of taking the bus. It is led be Greener Journeys, a campaign group dedicated to encouraging people to make more sustainable travel choices.
Cycle to Work Day	15 August 2023	Cycle to Work Day is the UK’s biggest cycling commuting event. This year on August 4th we’ll be encouraging workers all around the country to get on their bikes and get into work the best way possible – on two wheels! It’s an event for everyone, from people who haven’t hopped on a bike since their school days to committed cycle commuters.

TravelWise Week	11- 15 September 2023 Time TBC	The week focuses on promoting sustainable travel in schools, workplace, and private residences.
Green Transport Week	4- 8 September 2023 Time TBC	Green Transport Week is a celebration of sustainable transport. The aim is to raise awareness of the impact travel has on the environment, to make people stop and think about the way they travel.
Zero Waste Week	23 September 2023 Time TBC	Zero Waste Week is an environmental campaign to reduce landfill waste and takes place annually during the first full week in September.
Cycle September Challenge	16 – 22 September 2023 Time TBC	Cycle September sees individuals, workplaces and countries competing to earn the points by riding and encouraging others to do the same.
European Mobility Week	23 September 2023 Time TBC	European Mobility Week is the European Commission’s flagship awareness-raising campaign on sustainable urban mobility. It promotes behavioural change in favour of active mobility, public transport, and other clean, intelligent transport solutions.
World Care Free Day	October 2023 TBC Time TBC	World Car Free Day, when all around the world towns and cities allow people to experience streets free of motor traffic. It’s a great chance to re-imagine our streets around people.
National Liftshare Week	October 2023 Time TBC	Liftshare Week is the UK-wide event which aims to encourage and enable more people to discover the benefits of car-sharing.
International Walk to School Month	2 November 2023 Time TBC	Every October is International Walk to School Month – an opportunity for children to join hundreds of thousands of pupils across the globe celebrating the walk to school.
