Report a parking contravention

You can report a vehicle that you believe to be parked in contravention of a parking regulation on a public road.

If you believe the vehicle may have been abandoned, you should report an abandoned vehicle instead.

We take reports by phone because speed of response is crucial. An enforcement officer needs to observe a vehicle in contravention in order to issue a penalty charge notice.

To report:

  • phone: 0203 634 8680 (Monday to Saturday 8am to 11pm, Sunday 8am to 7pm)

Dropped kerb contraventions

If you are calling about a contravention in front of your dropped kerb, you should call from your landline if you have one. If you call from a mobile, you must be prepared to sign the enforcement officer’s pocket book to confirm you are the resident who requested enforcement. This information will be treated confidentially.

When you call

Make sure your number is displayed. The enforcement officer may need to call you back.

We will ask for:

  • the vehicle's location (for example, road name and nearest door number or road junction)
  • the vehicle make, model and colour
  • a brief explanation of the contravention
