Pregnant women and new mothers
If you're pregnant or have a new baby and are seeking asylum, there is support available to help with healthcare, baby essentials, and emotional wellbeing.
Registering a birth
All births in England, Wales and Northern Ireland must be registered within 42 days of the child being born.
For general guidance on registering a birth, visit the GOV.UK website.
If your baby was born in the London Borough of Hounslow, you can book a birth registration appointment online.
Newborn clothing
If you need clothes or essential items for your newborn, you can request help by emailing our Asylum and Refugee Support team: AsylumandRefugees@hounslow.gov.uk.
