Overview
You can rent an allotment to grow your own fruit, flowers and vegetables. We currently have 29 allotment sites in Hounslow, which are managed by Lampton Services Greenspace.
Cultivating an allotment plot is not just a great recreational pursuit but offers an active, socially inclusive, environmentally sustainable lifestyle activity. Benefits include:

Prices
We charge annual rent based on plot size, which is measured in rods. One rod is approximately 25 square metres. The rent prices are:
- standard rate: £13.90 per rod
- standard rate for our two sites without a water supply: £10.70 per rod
- concession rate (over 60s): £9.00 per rod
- concession rate (receiving benefits administed by the council): £5.35 per rod
- rate for existing tenants (not eligible for concessions): £23.45 per rod
The price of keys for an allotment site is £7.20.
Composting
Composting is an inexpensive and environmentally friendly way of recycling your kitchen scraps and garden waste to provide you with a nutrient rich compost for an allotment or garden.
Compost bin prices start from around £22.50.

Water butts
Installing a water butt on your plot you can create a convenient supply of water, helping reduce the distance you need to walk to collect water for your crops.
