Hogarth Youth and Community Centre

Hogarth Youth and Community Centre is a vibrant hub for the community in the heart of Chiswick. It provides personal development opportunities for young people living in Hounslow.

The centre offers sessions and services for the whole family, from mother and baby/toddler sessions, kids youth clubs, children and adult karate classes, a club for senior citizens and lots more.

The charities youth programme provides a range of programmes for young people aged 8 to 21. This includes:

  • Junior Club for 8 to 11 year olds
  • Intermediates Club for young people in Years 7, 8 and 9
  • Senior Youth Club for 11 to 21 year olds

Activities include: cooking, table tennis, dodgeball, music workshops, football, media, dance, arts and crafts, basketball, badminton, tag rugby, board games, pool, volleyball and more.

It also provides:

  • information, advice and guidance
  • holiday programmes
  • trips and other opportunities for young people

The charity celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, which also marks the seventh year that they have independently funded and delivered a youth service from the centre on Duke Road. Their youth programme continues to grow and now serves around 400 young people. It is led by experienced Youth Officer Denny Anthony and a team of super-dedicated youth workers.

Working with local schools, the programme runs throughout the year for approximately 200 days:

  • Mondays to Thursdays during term time
  • six holiday programmes including an August summer residential outside London

Working closely with the youth team, Dani Karas runs the community centre operations. To raise money for the youth programme, the charity licenses space to repeat and ad hoc users for community-orientated activities.

Hogarth Youth and Community Centre is overseen by Hogarth Charitable Trust, a registered charity set up for the young people of Chiswick and surrounding areas. Their registered charity number is 1084019.
