The Mayor of Hounslow for 2026-27 is Councillor Ranjit Gill (Osterley & Spring Grove ward).
Mayor Ranjit Gill was a Councillor for Chiswick Gunnersbury ward from May 2018 to May 2026. Following the May 2026 Council elections Ranjit was elected as a Councillor for Osterley and Spring Grove ward.
He has been a long-standing and loyal Hounslow resident for over 40 years with his partner Peter, who sadly died on 26th December 2024. Both had a passion for nature and the environment, enjoyed wildlife and birding holidays all over the world.
Ranjit currently lives with his wonderful dog Lulu and still has a passion for wildlife and nature.
Since joining the Council, he has been on the Audit and Governance Committee, Licencing Committee, Housing and Environment Scrutiny Panel and the Pension Board.
Alongside his council work, he volunteers with Café Together, supporting homeless and vulnerable residents, and takes part in community clean-ups.
