The Mayor of Hounslow, Councillor Sue Sampson, has chosen the Pink Ribbon Foundation and Refuge as her two charities for this year.

Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, or who have been affected by breast cancer or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment.

Refuge is the country’s largest single provider of specialist accommodation and support to women and children escaping domestic violence.
Refuge provides safe, emergency accommodation through a growing network of refuges throughout the country and runs the Freephone 24-Hour National Domestic Violence Helpline in partnership with Women’s Aid. Refuge also offers services for children, individual and group counselling for abused women and community based outreach services.
On any given day, they support almost 5,000 women and children.
2018 Annual London Mayors' Whittington Walk
The Mayor, Councillor Sue Sampson, will be walking with other London Mayors', led by the Lord Mayor of London, to raise money for my two chosen charities; the Pink Ribbon Foundation and Refuge. The London Mayors' Walk has taken place for over forty years. The event covers the original walk of Dick Whittington over 600 years ago.
The walk will commence from the Whittington Stone at 10.00 am on the 8 April and will finish at Mansion House at 13:15
10,000 ft Tandem Skydive - 15 April 2017
The Mayor, Councillor Sampson, will be, once again, Sky diving for her charity the Pink Ribbon Foundation. The Mayor will be jumping with friends and colleagues on the 15th April 2018 at Brackley Airfield.
