Cleaner and Greener CRG
The local community plays a significant role in ensuring that their neighbourhood is clean, attractive and environmentally sustainable for all. We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate residents to represent their community to make Hounslow a cleaner and greener place to live.
You’ll develop key skills such as communication, presentation skills to senior leadership panels and local councillors, chairing meetings, agenda-setting and minute keeping.
The environmental areas will include:
- Environmental awareness and education.
- Waste and recycling.
- The circular economy.
- Parks, green and blue infrastructure.
- Green recovery.
- Sustainable and active travel.
What is our goal?
The goal of our Cleaner & Greener CRG is to use residents' expertise and insights to inform the council on environmental and sustainability challenges, and to work with us to find local solutions in tackling these issues. We expect our members to be professional, empathetic, and positive role models for the community.
Meetings: You’ll attend 4 core meetings each year (virtually or in-person). You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with the council and other CRG members outside of core meetings.
