You must register by midnight on Monday 20 April 2026.
The easiest way to register to vote is online. You will need to provide your:
-
address
-
date of birth
-
National Insurance number
You can get more information about finding your National Insurance number on GOV.UK.
If you are already registered to vote, you do not need to register again unless you move your address or change your name.
Poll cards
We will send poll cards to registered voters by the end of March 2026.
However, you do not need a poll card to vote in person. At the polling station, simply give your name and address to staff, who will check the electoral register. You will then need to present your valid photo ID before being issued with a ballot paper.
