Alcohol consumption in public spaces (Borough wide)
Our Public Spaces Protection Order for Alcohol related Anti-Social Behaviour has been introduced for another three-year period starting on 9 April 2025.
The order provides the opportunity to prevent the escalation of more serious crimes being committed as well as:
- Reducing alcohol related ASB in public spaces
- Improving the quality of life for residents and visitors in Hounslow
- Ensuring the law-abiding majority can use and enjoy public spaces.
It also contributes to keeping public spaces clean, however rather than seeing the order as solely an enforcement tool, with communication, signage, and awareness campaigns, it will serve as a key element in supporting our preventative approach to keeping the borough safe and welcoming.
