Sunday Cycle Club for 11 to 16 year olds
London Borough of Hounslow’s weekly Sunday Cycle Club offers young people aged 11 to 16 the opportunity to develop their cycling skills in a safe, friendly and supportive environment.
Run by qualified instructors, the club helps riders progress from basic control to advanced onroad techniques, working towards the competencies required for Bikeability Level 3.
Whether your child cycles for travel or enjoyment, these sessions aim to build confidence, independence and safer cycling habits.
When and where sessions take place
Sessions run every weekend throughout the year, unless otherwise stated on the Spond App.
Heston Park Cycling Hub
Location: Heston Cycling Club (Google Maps)
- 9.30am – Coaching & led ride
- 10.30am – Coaching & led ride
- 11.30am – Advanced ride (90 minutes)
Hanworth Park Cycling Hub
Location: Hanworth Cycling Club (Google Maps)
- 2pm – Learn to ride
- 2.50pm – Coaching & led ride
- 3.40pm – Coaching & led ride
Bikes, helmets and highvisibility vests are provided at both hubs. Parental attendance is optional.
Who can join and how to register
The Cycle Club is free to attend and open exclusively to young residents of the London Borough of Hounslow aged 11 to 16.
To book a place, parents and carers should:

Session capacity, updates and any schedule changes are posted directly in the app. As places are limited to ensure quality coaching, early registration is recommended.

At Hanworth Park, the Learn to Ride session is designed specifically for children who are new to cycling or need support with the basics. Heston Park sessions are for children who can already ride independently.
No - bikes, helmets and highvisibility vests are provided at both hubs. Children are welcome to bring their own bikes if preferred, but this is not required.
No. All sessions are free for young residents of the London Borough of Hounslow.

All sessions are delivered by qualified cycling instructors from Gapped CIC, working in partnership with the London Borough of Hounslow.
