Events in 2025
The Council’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team is inviting headteachers and senior representatives from across Education, Health and Early Help services to attend the annual SEND Summit on Thursday, 3 July at the Hilton Hotel London Syon Park, TW8 8JF.
The event runs from 9.30am to 1.30pm and will review the progress of the Council's SEND Strategic Improvement Plan, while offering an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue on the future of inclusive education.
Parking is available onsite and refreshments will be provided. The agenda for the day will be sent via email following registration.

We want to make sure that information is easy to understand and it includes all health services available in Hounslow.

The Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) is a great way for your child to have fun during the school holidays. Eligible children will have the opportunity to make new friends, take part in a variety of exciting activities and receive a healthy meal each day.
The entitlement for each eligible child is:
- Four days for four hours during the Easter holidays
- 16 days for four hours during the summer holidays
- 4 days for four hours during the winter holidays
Children with SEND that attend mainstream schools can take part in most HAF activities. Children with an EHCP attending specialist schools, that require additional support, can access activities through the Short Breaks service.

The council’s Family Hubs' second annual Summer Fun Day.

Families can look forward to a wide range of activities including:
- a bouncy castle
- baby sensory play
- a petting zoo
- music and dance sessions
- multi-sports
- rock wall climbing
The event is inclusive, with a dedicated quiet zone and activity zone for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our SEND Local Offer Team, SENDIASS, and Universal Support Team will be on hand to offer guidance and support throughout the day. Plus, explore stalls with information on local services and support available to families across the borough.
No booking is required, just turn up and enjoy the day. The event is organised by Hounslow’s Family Hubs, which offer year-round support for families with children aged 0–19, and up to 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
