A new publication, called Her Hounslow, will offer tips and advice on all things related to women’s health and will be free to pick up across the borough.

Hounslow Council is publishing its first female magazine for women’s health. Her Hounslow is a free publication that gives women across the borough information on free services and advice on a range of women’s health issues.

The first edition includes stories on baby feeding-friendly venues, cervical cancer prevention, women’s wellbeing hubs, and more. There’s also an exclusive interview with local gynaecologist Dr. Archana Dixit on the menopause.

Women can also track their heart health with a quiz that tracks risks factors and gives advice on next steps depending on the results.

Where to find Her Hounslow

Residents can download a digital copy of Her Hounslow here.

Women in the borough  can also pick up a print copy of Her Hounslow by meeting up with the Health Outreach team (HOT), either at their shop in the Treaty Centre or when they’re out with the Health Outreach Team bus.

Copies will be available at Baby Feeding Friendly venues across Hounslow.

Printed copies can also be found in several nail salons and hairdressers across the borough.

Councillor Lily Bath, Hounslow Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Public Health and Transformation, said: “I’m excited to see this great new publication distributed across Hounslow. By delivering invaluable information to residents on life-saving health services, we are contributing to people in Hounslow living longer and healthier lives – plus it’s an entertaining read!”
