All those from Ukraine coming to the country under the scheme will be able to seek and take-up employment.

The UK also has a welfare system which is designed to help those who face financial hardship, or who have specific needs.

Your local Jobcentre Plus will be able to help with information about work and benefits.

Borough run employment support to help upskill, gain new skills, and opportunities to pursue work in the UK.

Citizen’s Advice Hounslow  

Free legal advice that supports with employment, housing, family, and immigration. They can also give information regarding local organisations and food banks. To find more about their drop-in sessions in Chiswick and Feltham visit here. You can also contact them by phone or make an enquiry online.  

Breaking Barriers  

Breaking Barriers can help with English classes, opportunities to learn new skills, prepare yourself for further employment opportunities, and more. There is the opportunity to meet in-person, over the phone or via video call.  

Action West London – London Digital Works  

A project funded through the Mayors Academies Programme and the European Social Fund to support Londoners into good work in the digital sector. The project includes careers advice and guidance, digital skills development support, to gain digital workplace skills and employment in digital jobs.

Adecco  

An employment agency who helps find temporary/contracted work. They have a page specifically dedicated to Ukrainians where you a register your interest, previous experience, and what jobs you are interested in. 

Marks and Spencer (M&S) 

A reputable retail company to help establish yourself here in the UK. M&S actively encourage refugees to apply for any open roles on their website.  

Get into teaching  

The Department for Education (DfE) wants to support Ukrainian teachers and trainees by encouraging schools and training providers to recruit Ukrainian teachers and teacher trainees. To find out more about support and requirements for Ukrainians visit here

Employ Ukraine  

A dedicated organisation helping Ukrainians get into work in sectors including software, industry, marketing, trade and more. Roles range from remote or in-person, full-time, part-time, or task-based. Partnership companies include Microsoft, Amazon and more.  

Volunteer Centre Ealing & Hounslow 

To upskill yourself through experience of working in different voluntary and community organisations visit the Volunteer Centre to find out where there are opportunities.
