Community Sport

Information for existing clubs, individuals or groups,  and those who may wish to join a local network, start a new club or activity.

Community Sport and Physical Activity Network (CSPAN)

A local and strategic alliance of partners in Hounslow improving health and wellbeing, widening access to opportunities for sport and physical activity, and bringing together partners within one joined up plan. Network meetings take place to support partners with an interest in sport and physical activity to work cooperatively towards agreed outcomes.  For more information email Leisure@hounslow.gov.uk

London Sport

Works in partnership with London’s Local Authorities and a host of agencies to support less active Londoners to build physical activity habits that support their health, wellbeing and prosperity. Visit londonsport.org

Playing Pitch Strategy

In 2016 the Council working in partnership with Sport England and the National Governing Bodies of Sport, commissioned external consultants to produce a Playing Pitch Strategy for the period 2017- 2030.

Local Football Facilities Plan

In 2019 the FA implemented a 10-year strategy to change the landscape of football facilities in England. This is underpinned by an action plan for investment in every local authority, referred to as a Local Football Facility Plan (LFFP).

Hounslow Sports Clubs

There are over 160 sports clubs based in the borough. Find out about sport's activities near you using a simple google search, or BBC Get Inspired. Get Active London is an online activity finder bringing together the capital's sport and physical activities 'in a one stop shop' led by London Sport. If you are an activity provider, please visit the Open Sessions website to upload your sessions.

Club Matters

Club Matters is Sport England's one stop shop for sports clubs, groups and organisations involved in the delivery of physical activity and sport. Club Matters provides free, convenient, practical resources to help organisations to develop, grow, and become more sustainable and successful. Visit Club Matters.  

Model City Generations Active

Model City brings together organisations who will use the power of sport to drive change in their communities. Laureus Sport for Good, in Partnership with Nike and the Mayor of London will be working together with local communities in the Bedfont, Feltham and Hanworth areas, to improve social integration through sport. Organisations who are part of the project, learn from each other, build scale and reach, whilst identifying long term solutions. Visit Model City.

Osterley Sports Network

A local Sports Network for groups and organisations in the Osterley and Spring Grove Ward.

Voluntary Sector Support

  • The Community Partnerships Unit (CPU) manages Hounslow Council’s partnership with the borough’s voluntary and community organisations. Visit CPU.
  • The Hounslow Voluntary Sector Support Service (HVSSS) offers support, information and advice for voluntary and community sector (VCS) groups operating in the borough. They provide advice on fundraising, group development and training. Visit HVSSS.  
  • The Ealing and Hounslow Volunteer Centre helps volunteers and organisations in all areas of the volunteer recruitment and management process.
  • The Community Information Guide provides the best guide to all of the voluntary and community groups across the borough providing support, advice and important services to our residents. In addition you will find information about community buildings that are available to hire. Visit CIG. If you are a  voluntary organisation, a community group, a tenant’s or residents’ group or any other group that provides services in your community – then we would encourage you to add yourself to the Community Information Guide.
