Information, advice and guidance for clubs, community groups and individuals to help support communities to be active and healthy is available on these pages.

Brentford Community Sports Trust, Hounslow Council and London Sport are working together with a range of local community partners to deliver new club activities that encourage young people to be more active. Small grants will allow 30 weeks of activity for young people aged 14-19 years including girls and young people, disabled young people and young carers. A local and strategic alliance of partners in Hounslow improving health and wellbeing, widening access to opportunities for sport and physical activity, and bringing together partners within one joined up plan.

Network meetings take place to support partners with an interest in sport and physical activity to work cooperatively towards agreed outcomes.

In 2016 the Council working in partnership with Sport England and the National Governing Bodies of Sport, commissioned external consultants to produce a Playing Pitch Strategy for the period 2017- 2030.

In 2019 the FA implemented a 10-year strategy to change the landscape of football facilities in England.

This is underpinned by an action plan for investment in every local authority, referred to as a Local Football Facility Plan (LFFP).

Club Matters is Sport England's one stop shop for sports clubs, groups and organisations involved in the delivery of physical activity and sport.

Model City brings together organisations who will use the power of sport to drive change in their communities. Laureus Sport for Good, in Partnership with Nike and the Mayor of London will be working together with local communities in the Bedfont, Feltham and Hanworth areas, to improve social integration through sport.   • The Community Partnerships Unit (CPU) manages Hounslow Council’s partnership with the borough’s voluntary and community organisations.
  • The Hounslow Voluntary Sector Support Service (HVSSS) offers support, information and advice for voluntary and community sector (VCS) groups operating in the borough. They provide advice on fundraising, group development and training. 
  • The Ealing and Hounslow Volunteer Centre helps volunteers and organisations in all areas of the volunteer recruitment and management process.
  • The Community Information Guide provides the best guide to all of the voluntary and community groups across the borough providing support, advice and important services to our residents. In addition you will find information about community buildings that are available to hire.
