Application timetable for infant to junior transfer

This page shows key dates for applying for an infant to junior school transfer starting Year 3 in September 2026.

Date	Activity
1 September 2025	Main application period opens.
15 January 2026	Main application period closes. You can make an application after this date, but it will be a late application. Late applications are not considered until all on-time applications have been considered and allocated.
16 April 2026	Offer day. You will receive your offer of a Year 3 place if you made an on-time application.
30 April 2026	Deadline day for accepting an offer.
15 May 2026	Deadline for making an appeal for a Year 3 place.
Mid August 2026 (exact date TBC)	End of late application period. You need to make an in-year application for a place in Year 3 for the school year starting September 2026.
1 September 2026	Main application period opens for an infant to junior school transfer starting Year 3 in September 2027.
