Hounslow Council Easter opening hours

Hounslow House and some other Council offices will close at the normal time on Thursday 28 March 2024 and will re-open on Tuesday 2 April 2024.

If you or someone you know needs any help or support below are some useful contact numbers and organisations to help over the Easter break.

Contacting Social Care Departments over the holiday

Adult Social Care

For urgent queries/support/safeguarding issues, call 020 8583 3100 (Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm).

For non-urgent support you can begin the assessment process online using the Autonomy Portal | London Borough of Hounslow

Children’s Services

Linkline Telecare Service

The Linkline Service | London Borough of Hounslow will be available 24/7 over the holiday period as normal.

Medical services over the holiday

You can use the Hounslow & Richmond Community Healthcare (hrch.nhs.uk) search tool to find local GPs, pharmacies, opticians, dentists, urgent care centres, sexual health clinics, A&E departments and end of life care services that are open over the holiday.

Useful contacts for anyone needing support over Easter

Hounslow Safe Space (Mind) - Safe Space is based Hounslow Safe Space, The Loft, Treaty Shopping Centre, 44 High St, Hounslow, TW3 1ES. It has drop-in sessions from 3pm - 7pm and pre-booked appointments available for anyone who feels they are approaching a mental health crisis. Please call 0207 471 0584 when you arrive, and a member of staff will come to meet you.

The service is open throughout the holiday period, seven days a week.

Safe Space Hounslow Crisis Helpline is an extension of Safe Space.

Call 020 3475 5185 (available 11am-11pm, 365 days a year).

The Single Point of Access (SPA) line will be open 24/7 if you need help with an urgent mental health issue.

Domestic violence support and helplines – emotional support and practical information if you are experiencing physical or emotional abuse (if you are in immediate danger, please call 999).

Cruse Bereavement Care helpline - a listening ear and emotional support for anyone who has lost someone they love or been affected by a bereavement.

Samaritans freephone helpline - If you are not feeling okay you can get in touch about anything that is troubling you, no matter how large or small the issue feels. They will listen without judgment and help you work through what is on your mind. They will not tell you what to do.

The Silver Line – information, friendship and advice for people aged 55 and over.

Carers UK Helpline- help and support if you look after someone as their carer.

Mind - Mental Health Charity - useful numbers for help for mental health problems. 

Money Helper - provides free and impartial money, pensions guidance including information on debt and cost of living for people across the UK. Call 0800 011 3797

Homelessness

If you have seen or know of someone sleeping rough, tell Streetlink who will connect them to local support services.

Foodbanks and free hot food

Foodbanks in Hounslow – check individual pages for referral process and holiday opening times (some will be closed over the holidays).

The Open Kitchen based at 514 Great West Rd, Hounslow TW5 0TE will be open over the holiday serving free hot food.
