Hounslow Domestic & Sexual Violence Outreach Service

Provides free and confidential advice and support to anyone affected by domestic and sexual violence abuse living in the London Borough of Hounslow. This can include Forced Marriage, so called “Honour” Based Violence Abuse, Stalking and Harassment.

Hounslow One Stop Shop

 

 

 

 

The One Stop Shop provides free, confidential, support and advice for anyone living in Hounslow experiencing domestic and sexual violence or other forms of Violence Against Women and Girls.

National Domestic Abuse Helpline

Call 0808 2000 247 - 24 hours Monday to Sunday.

For 24/7 confidential support and information you can call 0808 2000 247 or contact the helpline online.

The helpline is answered by fully trained female helpline support workers and volunteers who will answer your call in confidence.

The helpline can provide you with safety planning, information, advice, support and refuge options. All calls to the helpline are free from mobiles and landlines.

 

Southall Black Sisters

Provides free, confidential information advice and support to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women experiencing domestic abuse and other forms of Violence Against Women and Girls. They can be contacted between Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm via phone on 020 8571 9595 email them at info@southalblacksisters.co.uk or through their online contact form.

Eastern European IDVA

Eastern European IDVA Service, run by Refuge, provides confidential, non-judgmental support to Eastern European women and their children living in Hounslow who are experiencing domestic violence. This is a specialist outreach service staffed by multi-lingual expert practitioners, for Eastern European women and children.

Women & Girls Network

SFIDA

SFIDA is a community organisation working with women, young people, and families in West London.

SFIDA run a range of advice and support services for community members. We can provide help in the following areas:

  • college and job applications
  • citizenship
  • access to healthcare and counselling
  • welfare and access to housing
  • language support
  • advocacy around domestic abuse and modern day slavery and trafficking

National LGBT Domestic Abuse Helpline

Run by Galop the helpline is available on from Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm. On Wednesday and Thursday the helpline is open in the evenings until 8pm.

To speak with someone on the National LGBT Domestic Abuse Helpline you can call 0800 999 5428 or you can contact them online.

Galop also run the London LGBT+ Advice Line which is open from Monday to Friday 10am – 12:30pm, 1:30pm to 4pm. You can call the London advice line on 020 7704 2040.

EACH counselling and support

EACH provides support via Ascent. Ascent provides a service for those affected by domestic and sexual abuse in London.

Services offered include:

  • Confidential counselling and support service in safe locations
  • One-to-one counselling (up to 21 sessions) in Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Pashto and English. Group sessions are only available to in Ealing and Merton.
  • Help with safety planning and self-care.
  • Support to facilitate positive changes
  • Build skills to enhance self-care.
  • Group support to build confidence, skills and self-esteem.
  • Information and advice
  • Signposting and referrals to relevant agencies that can help.

Victim Support

Victim Support can help you if you have experienced domestic violence. Their services are confidential and free. They can help you regardless of whether you’ve told the police or anyone else about the abuse.

Call Supportline for free on 0808 168 9111 (open Monday to Friday 8pm-8am and 24 hours on the weekend).

If English is not your first language and you would like some support, call Supportline and let them know which language you speak. They will call you back with an interpreter as soon as possible.

Men’s Advice Line

The Men’s Advice Line Advisors at Respect are specially trained to offer emotional support, as well as the practical advice and information. The free phoneline is open on Monday and Wednesday, 9am to 8pm and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 5pm. You can contact them on 0808 8 010 327.

Respect also run a phoneline for people using abuse in their relationship and hurting the ones they love. Their phoneline is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm - 0808 8 024 040.
