Revitalising Hounslow: Town Centre Masterplan
Hounslow Council are working with leading regeneration consultants to create a masterplan that will bring a new, exciting future to Hounslow Town Centre.
Taking forward the 2009 Visioning Strategy ‘A Brighter Future for Hounslow’, the masterplan will set a framework for future development in the town centre to unlock Hounslow’s potential and create a thriving and attractive metropolitan centre for West London.
The masterplan will identify sites for development and what should be built on them, look at transport issues and how they can be overcome, provide design guidance to improve the look and feel of the streets and spaces and provide a plan for putting the proposals in place.
The masterplanning process has now been completed. The council are currently preparing a Supplementary Planning Document to implement the proposals set out in the Masterplan. The document will contain information in determining future planning applications within the town centre. Public consultation on the Supplementary Planning Document will commence in February 2012.
