Vision 2050 was officially launched on 8 December 2025. The evening brought together councillors, partners, staff and community organisations to celebrate the borough’s longterm ambitions for the future.
Guests enjoyed an interactive exhibition of artwork, films and creative activities exploring the themes of Vision 2050, alongside opportunities to view the Vision document digitally and share their own reflections.
The event was opened by Cllr Shantanu Rajawat, who introduced the Vision and its focus on imagination, stewardship and leadership. A keynote address from Sophia Parker, Director of Emerging Futures at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, inspired guests to think boldly about shaping a fairer and more sustainable future together.
The evening also featured contributions from the Hounslow Collective Imagination Huddle participants and a screening of short documentaries by CChange, bringing the Vision to life through powerful stories and lived experiences. The event closed with thanks from Cllr Rajawat and a shared sense of excitement about the journey ahead for Vision 2050.
