Site disruption - Thursday 5 March and Friday 6 March
Space Waye will be closed to all trade customers and members of the public using a van or trailer on the following days:
- Thursday 5 March 2026
- Friday 6 March 2026
This is required to support essential operational requirements at the site.
Residential bookings arriving in a car will still be able to access services as normal.
From Monday 9 March, we are starting a 6‑month trial to make it easier for residents to plan their visits to the reuse and recycling centre.
You will not need to book if you visit Monday to Thursday. (Please note: you will still need a booking on Bank Holidays.)
We will continue to use the booking system on our busiest days. Please see the schedule below for when a booking is required.
This trial is designed to help more people use the site and to make visits easier to fit around work, school, and home commitments.
Opening hours
8am to 3.30pm, seven days a week.
On days when a booking is required, you can book online up to two weeks in advance.

When you book

When you visit
Monday to Thursday
On non‑booking days, you can arrive at any time during our opening hours. Please be aware that there may still be queues at busy times.
Please bring proof of address when you visit.
On days when booking is required
Arrival time
You should arrive during your time slot.
You can enter the site up to ten minutes after the end of your slot, but no later.
To enter, you need:
- photo ID
- a utility or Council Tax bill (this can be on a smartphone if you wish)
Your visit is limited to 30 minutes.
You can bring:
Different types of waste and recycling. Your visit will be quicker and easier if you sort your waste into different materials when you load your car.

You can bring someone to help you unload your waste. Only bring what you (and your passenger) can lift. Staff cannot assist you with physical help.
You can visit up to:
- twice a day
- three times a week in total
Cancelling or amending
On days when a booking is required, you can cancel or amend your booking. You can amend:
- the date and time of your visit
- the registration of the car you'll be using

Visiting on foot or by bicycle
You need to book your visit in advance by email to spacewaye@hounslow.gov.uk.
To visit on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday you need to email with at least 24 hours before your visit.
To visit on Saturday, Sunday or Monday you need to email before 3pm on the Friday before your visit.
In your email you need to tell us:
- the date you want to visit
- the approximate time you plan to arrive (see opening hours above)
- the items you intend to bring
We will reply confirming your visit time and instructions on how to enter the site. You cannot visit without a confirmation email.
