Friends groups

A friends group (or community group) is a group of local people that have a vested interest in their local open space or park. They have a collective desire to work with us to further improve facilties and increase the usage of their space.

Friends groups play a vital role in helping Hounslow's parks and open spaces become safer, cleaner and greener. With over 20 groups across the borough, there is a large voluntary sector for the management of green spaces.

List of groups

You can find a list of local friends groups and their contact details below.

If your group isn't on the list, email parks@hounslow.gov.uk.

Join or start a group

We are continuously looking to work with and help establish new friends groups for our parks. If there isn't already a friends group to join, you could start a new one.

You can give as little or as much of your time as you wish to being a friend of the park. Any involvement is valuable and contributes to positive change in your park. You could get involved, for example, in:

  • fundraising
  • promoting activities
  • community clear-ups
  • supporting park events

If you are interested in volunteering or forming a friends group, email groups@habitatsandheritage.org.uk. To find out more, visit Habitats & Heritage website - Friends of parks groups.
