Hounslow Council will attend MIPIM 2026 in Cannes to promote Opportunity Hounslow, seeking partners and investment for major regeneration across the borough, including the Golden Mile and Feltham.
Hounslow Council will attend MIPIM 2026 to showcase Opportunity Hounslow, the borough’s ambitious investment and regeneration programme, and to secure new partnerships to accelerate delivery of homes, jobs and infrastructure.
Taking place in Cannes from 9-13 March, MIPIM brings together global investors, developers and policymakers. Hounslow will use the platform to promote a clear, deliverable portfolio of opportunities across the Golden Mile London, Future Feltham, Brentford and Hounslow Town Centre.
Hounslow is delivering one of London’s most ambitious growth programmes, with a pipeline of 28,800 new homes and 18,000 jobs already underway. Anchored by Heathrow Airport and exceptional connectivity, the borough plays a critical role in London’s economic future.
Councillor Shantanu Rajawat, Leader of Hounslow Council, will lead the delegation. He is attending MIPIM both as Leader of Hounslow and as a representative of London Councils, the collective voice of London’s local authorities representing the 32 boroughs and City of London Corporation. In that role, he will champion borough-led growth and reinforce the central role local government plays in unlocking land, infrastructure and long-term investment.
Councillor Rajawat said:
We’re coming to MIPIM with a clear message: Hounslow is delivering. Nearly 29,000 homes, 18,000 jobs and a multi-billion-pound pipeline already in motion. As Leader of Hounslow Council and a representative of London Councils, I’m clear that London’s growth will be delivered in boroughs that can move at scale – and we’re ready to work with investors from around the world to help shape Hounslow’s next chapter.
At MIPIM, the Council will highlight the Golden Mile London as a nationally significant growth corridor, repositioned as a leading Creative-Tech Innovation District, and promote Future Feltham, including plans to transform the former MoD site into London’s first truly green, intergenerational neighbourhood.
The borough is also progressing the development of energy infrastructure to decarbonise the borough and deliver long-term benefits for residents. This includes a borough-wide district heat network, backed by £10.55m from the Green Heat Network Fund, which will use waste heat from Mogden Sewage Treatment Works to provide affordable, low carbon energy to homes and businesses. The project is expected to come to market in Summer 2026. A Strategic Energy Partnership is also being developed to support delivery of the borough’s wider decarbonisation ambitions and is expected to come to market in early 2027.
Councillor Tom Bruce, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Assets, Regeneration and Development at Hounslow Council, added:
Investors are looking for certainty, pace and leadership, and we’re ready to provide these. From the Golden Mile to Future Feltham, we have clear plans in place, infrastructure progressing and sites ready to move forward. We’re taking a pragmatic, partnership-led approach to unlock long-term, sustainable good growth and accelerate delivery with the right partners.
Investors, developers and partners attending MIPIM 2026 are invited to meet the Hounslow delegation in Cannes to discuss opportunities across the borough.
