Leader of Hounslow Council, Councillor Shantanu Rajawat has welcomed the opening of a new Post Office branch on Hounslow High Street.

The new Post Office branch at the heart of the community will restore essential services that residents, businesses and visitors rely on.

Cllr Rajawat said:

I’m pleased that the Post Office will return to Hounslow High Street on Thursday 26 February. I know how important this service is to residents and local businesses, and how much it has been missed.

Many people have raised this with me directly, and I understand the impact its closure has had. While it has taken time to get to this point, what matters most is that this vital service is now returning to Hounslow High Street with longer opening hours to better support our community.

I welcome the Post Office’s commitment to bringing this service back. As a Council, we will continue to listen to residents and work with partners to protect important local services and support thriving, welcoming town centres.

The branch will reopen at its new location at 173 High Street, Hounslow, TW3 1QL, opening from 1pm on the first day. It will then be open daily with extended hours to improve access for the local community:

  • Monday to Friday: 9am – 7pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9am – 5pm
