Hounslow Council is inviting residents, businesses, schools and community groups to share their views on a new draft Public Transport Plan, which is now open for public consultation.
The plan sets out a long-term vision for improving public transport across the borough, focusing on key priorities such as reliability, accessibility, connections and supporting greener travel choices. It has been developed following earlier engagement with residents and partners as part of the council’s Transport Strategy and will help guide future decisions and investment.
The council is keen to hear from anyone who uses public transport in Hounslow — including bus, tube and rail users — as well as from people who rely on public transport for work, education, caring responsibilities or everyday travel.
Residents can take part by reading the draft plan and completing the online survey.
Cllr Katherine Dunne, Cabinet Member for Climate, Environment and Transport at Hounslow Council, said:
Public transport affects so many parts of our daily lives — from getting to work and school to staying connected with friends, family and services.
This draft plan is based on what residents have already told us matters, but it’s not final. We really want to hear whether we’ve got it right and what could be improved.
I’d encourage everyone who uses public transport in Hounslow — especially those who rely on it day to day — to take a few minutes to share their views. Your feedback will help shape the future of transport in our borough.
The consultation is open for a limited time. Residents can find out more, view the draft plan and have their say on our Talk Hounslow site.
