Hounslow Council, JCDecaux UK, and the West London Chambers of Commerce are delighted to announce Gripped as the winner of the 2025 Advance for Growth competition.

Now in its fourth year, the Advance for Growth programme offers a Hounslow-based SME the chance to receive premium digital advertising space with JCDecaux UK, business support from Hounslow Council, and tailored mentoring from the West London Chambers of Commerce.

Gripped, the aerial and outdoor activity centre located on Staines Road, wowed judges with its unique experience-led business model, local job creation and its potential to grow as a destination for families and corporate team building. This year’s prize includes a year-long Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising campaign, West London Chambers membership, a feature in the Let’s Talk Business magazine, and one-to-one mentoring.

Sarah and Emma from Gripped, speaking at the recent West London Chambers Business Awards, said:

We’re truly chuffed to have won the Advance for Growth Award this year, we cannot believe it. It feels awesome, we’re so happy and truly humbled by this recognition. We’re also double award winners tonight and didn’t expect this at all. Thank you to everyone who nominated us. We look forward to working with the Council, JCDecaux and the Chamber over the coming months.

Cllr Tom Bruce, Deputy Leader of Hounslow Council and Cabinet Member for Assets, Regeneration and Development said:

A huge congratulations to Gripped a brilliant business bringing energy, enterprise and experience led regeneration to the heart of Hounslow. The Advance for Growth award is about backing home-grown innovation and Gripped is a great example of the kind of bold, creative business we’re proud to champion. I look forward to seeing their success grow even further through this support package.

Sally Smith, COO, West London Chambers of Commerce, said:

West London Chambers is really proud to be part of the Advance for Growth competition for the fourth year, celebrating the diverse business community in the borough of Hounslow. Gripped, the Aerial and Outdoor Activity Centre in Hounslow is the well-deserved winner this year. Gripped on Staines Road has it all: high rope courses, zip line trekking, bag jumps, speed slides, all making it the perfect day out for all ages, no matter the weather.

Through OOH advertising Gripped will now be able to extend its reach to more families and businesses, as it’s perfect for team building.  I am really excited to see the advertising campaign and the front cover of our business magazine, Let’s Talk Business.  And of course visiting Gripped for the zip wire.

Chris Collins, Co-CEO at JCDecaux UK, said:

We’re delighted to partner with Hounslow Council and the West London Chambers of Commerce to champion local businesses through the public screen of Out-of-Home. Now in its fourth year, the competition continues to demonstrate the real impact OOH can have on brands. Last year’s winner, Small Ceramics, used their prize package to drive real business outcomes. I’m excited to see Gripped take their business to the next level and build brand fame through the power of Out-of-Home.
