Families Invited to ‘Let’s Get Healthier Together’ Event at Reach Academy Feltham

Let’s Get Healthier Together is taking place at Reach Academy on Friday 14 November 2025.

Families in Hounslow are invited to a free community health event, Let’s Get Healthier Together, taking place at Reach Academy, 53–55 High Street, Feltham, on Friday 14 November 2025, from 3.00pm to 5.00pm (last entry 5.00pm).

The event, supported by the NHS, Hounslow council and local partners, is designed for families with children aged 0–18 and expectant parents, offering practical advice, demonstrations, and fun activities to help everyone feel more confident about their family’s health and wellbeing.

Visitors will have the chance to:

 Learn life-saving skills such as managing choking and CPR in children

  • Take part in taster activity sessions and live food preparation demos
  • Receive flu and COVID-19 vaccines (for those eligible)
  • Meet local Maternity Voices representatives
  • Access mental health support and advice
  • Get a blood pressure check or a full NHS Health Check
  • Speak to nurses about childhood vaccinations
  • Try the smoothie bike and make a healthy drink while you ride!
  • Explore activity and swimming lesson offers for children and young people
  • Enjoy health quizzes and prizes throughout the afternoon

Let’s Get Healthier Together is all about bringing local health, social care, and community teams together to make it easier for families to get the right support, at the right time.

West London NHS Trust Health Visiting Advice Line Team are also offering a Free Online Parent Workshop: Learn about the Do’s and Don’ts of Fighting a Fever on Tuesday, 18 November, 10.30–11.30 am. Where parents and carers can learn about managing fever in children aged four and under.

The session, The Do’s and Don’ts of Fighting a Fever, will answer common questions such as:

  • Should you really feed a cold and starve a fever?
  • How high is too high?
  • When should you call your GP Practice?

Led by the West London NHS Trust Health Visiting Advice Line Team, this friendly and informative session will help parents feel confident about what to do when their child’s temperature rises, including when it’s safe to care for them at home and when to seek help. Parents and carers can join the online event here on Tuesday, 18 November at 10.30am.
