Five Ways to Wellbeing is back from Sunday, 3 November.

Running for five weeks, each week will focus on a different theme for improving physical and mental health.

Five Ways to Wellbeing is returning to Hounslow for a second year, having proved popular with residents last year. Led by Hounslow Council, it encourages residents to take small, practical steps to improve their mental health and overall wellbeing. Each week focuses on one of the five ways: Connect, Keep Learning, Be Active, Take Notice and Give.

Some of the most popular activities from last year will return, including free passes to Lampton Leisure sites and a photography competition where residents can win up to £50 of Amazon vouchers.

There will be more local offers, activities and events designed to help residents put each theme into practice. Each week, the Council will also be highlighting services across the borough that help residents to follow the week’s theme. For example, during the giving week, volunteering opportunities will be highlighted along with links for people to get involved.

To keep up to date on the activities on offer every week, people can check the Council’s social media channels or sign up for the weekly Thrive newsletter.

Councillor Lily Bath, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Public Health and Transformation at Hounslow Council, said:

The Five Ways to Wellbeing is a great opportunity to try something new, connect with others and discover the brilliant local services that can make a real difference to their everyday lives.

Throughout the autumn, we’d love you to take part in a range of free or low-cost local activities. I’m particularly looking forward to judging the photography competition again, as I was very impressed with the standard last year!

Helping people to stay active in body and mind is one of the ways we’re supporting people in Hounslow to live longer, healthier lives.
