Hounslow Council is inviting parents, carers, school staff, and residents to shape the future of education in the borough.
With a shift in pupil numbers across the capital, Hounslow Council has launched a consultation on a new School Organisation Plan for 2026-2030.
The School Organisation plan will outline the management of school places and will be informed by the consultation survey, which aims to get feedback on
- What’s important to residents when choosing a school
- What barriers people face when accessing local education
- How schools could better support the communities they serve
- What principles should guide any changes to school organisation
- How can we plan differently for the future
Councillor Samia Chaudhary, Cabinet Member for Education, Children, Skills and Employment at Hounslow Council, said:
“We are committing to delivering a prosperous future for young people in Hounslow – that is why 98% of our schools are recognised as ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. As pupil numbers change, we need to plan carefully and responsibly to maintain high-quality education for families in Hounslow.”
“I would encourage families across Hounslow to have their say and shape our education services.”
There are a series of drop-in sessions for residents to ask any questions and share their views. These are taking place on:
- Tuesday, 14 October 5:30pm-7pm – Lampton Family Hub Central, Neville Close, Hounslow, TW3 4JG
- Tuesday, 21 October 5:30pm-7pm – Alf King, Family Hub West, 7 Hanworth Road, Feltham, TW13 5AF
- Tuesday, 4 November 5:30pm-7pm – Beavers Children’s Centre, The Hub, 103 Salisbury Road, TW4 7NW
