Hounslow has been selected as one of just 95 areas across the country to receive investment from the Government’s new Pride in Place Impact Fund.

Over the next two years (2025/26 and 2026/27), the borough will receive £1.5 million to deliver physical improvements that strengthen people’s connection to where they live and give communities a greater say in shaping their local areas. The fund is focused on three priorities: revitalising our high streets, enhancing public spaces, and improving community facilities.

Cllr Shantanu Rajawat, Leader of Hounslow Council, said:

“This funding is a timely and welcome addition to the work already underway across Hounslow from the transformation of our town centres in Hounslow, Brentford and Feltham, to the renewal of public spaces, parks and community hubs that bring people together. It will enable us to build on what we’ve already delivered and accelerate visible improvements that residents, businesses and visitors can see and feel in their daily lives.

“From safer and more welcoming high streets to better community facilities and greener, more accessible public spaces, these projects will be shaped by the people who know our borough best our residents and communities.

“This approach reflects our core priorities as a council. Through our Opportunity Hounslow Business Case for Growth and our commitment to inclusive, sustainable regeneration, we are focused on delivering thriving neighbourhoods, boosting wellbeing and fostering local pride. The Pride in Place funding will help us go further, faster bringing immediate benefits to our communities while supporting our long-term vision for Hounslow’s future.

“We look forward to working with our residents, businesses and community groups to make the most of this opportunity and deliver lasting impact for every part of our borough.”
