The vibrant celebration of South Asian culture, ANHAD, returns to Bell Square, Hounslow High Street on Saturday, 19 July.
The free event marks South Asian Heritage Month and promises an electrifying line-up of live music and DJs from 3pm to 10pm.
Now in its fourth year, ANHAD continues to grow in popularity, drawing both local residents and national audiences to experience the richness of contemporary South Asian arts and music. The free event is delivered by Watermans as part of Hounslow’s flagship Summer of Culture programme.
This year’s festival will once again feature a striking installation of large-scale flags by Kinetika People, transforming Hounslow High Street into a colourful celebration of identity, creativity and community.
Councillor Salman Shaheen, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Public Spaces, said: “In Hounslow we champion culture and celebrate the cultures. Our Summer of Culture programme is all about recognising the rich tapestry of different communities in our fantastically diverse borough.
“Anhad is a standout event that not only showcases the dynamic energy of South Asian Heritage Month, but also brings people together through music, art and community.”
Anhad is part of a packed Summer of Culture 2025 calendar, which includes:
- Creative Mile Art Trail Brentford, from 29 to 31 August, an annual art trail that winds through historic venues, studios and unexpected spaces, showcasing the work of local creatives.
- Theatre is Freedom | Teatr to Wolność Festival, a new outdoor festival at Bell Square, part of the UK/Poland Season 2025. It runs from 5 to 21 September and features six Polish companies presenting UK premieres, with three companies performing in the UK for the first time.
