Direct Let Scheme (DLS)

The Direct Let Scheme (DLS) allows you to manage your property and the tenants are nominated by the council and chosen by you.

The contract will be a standard Assured Tenancy Agreement made between you and the tenant.

The rent is not guaranteed from the council however we will provide a generous incentive amount which will be yours to keep. On top of this we also offer a bond or deposit. The property can be rented furnished or unfurnished.

Requirements

  • Valid gas safety certificate (if property has gas supply)
  • Valid electrical certificate
  • Energy performance certificate (SAP exceeding 50)
  • Bank statement (to transfer payments)
  • Pictures of the property to show condition before letting
  • Confirmation of permitted number of occupants
  • Smoke alarms
  • Carbon monoxide detector
  • White goods (fridge freezer, cooker and oven)
