Caretaking
Your Caretaking service operates from Monday to Thursday from 7.30 am to 3.45 pm and from 7.30am to 3.30pm on Friday. There is also a Sunday service on some estates where there are refuse chutes.
The following is a general list of duties carried out by the Caretaking service
- Making safe and arranging for removal of bulk
- Replacement of light bulbs and reporting of communal repairs
- Removal / reporting graffiti
- Litter pick / sweep / rake external areas where required
- Carry out minor cut backs on over hanging shrubs.
- Empty Estate Litter Bins
- Monitor recycling and report overflowing bins
- Check all chutes for blockages, clear or report as relevant
- Remove bins for collection
- Clean playgrounds and report defects
- Manage Notice boards
- Clean all internal communal areas
- Monitor voids for security
- Reporting of Anti-social behaviour
In addition the Caretaking Service carries out Health and Safety checks including Fire Safety Checks on all communal areas.
Bulky Waste
Please note that if you dispose of furniture or other large items in the communal areas of your estate you may face a fixed penalty notice for Fly tipping. Find information on how to dispose of bulky waste
Dog Waste
If you own a dog it is your responsibility to clean up after it. Dog waste left on the ground is very unpleasant for all concerned and causes a serious health hazard, especially for children. You may use a dog bin, litter bin or bulk bin to dispose of your dogs waste.
If you are identified as not clearing up after your dog, you may be fined by our Enforcement team and / or face action under the terms of your tenancy / leasehold agreement.
