Who can vote
To vote in the Mayor of London and London Assembly elections you must:

be registered to vote
-
live in London
-
be at least 18 years old on the day of the elections
-
be a British citizen, a European Union citizen or a Commonwealth citizen who has or does not require leave to remain in the UK
If you aren't yet registered, you can register to vote online by visiting www.gov.uk/registertovote
Ways to vote
In person:
You can vote in person at the polling station on 2 May 2024.
To vote in person, you will need to attend your polling station between the hours of 7am and 10pm on polling day. You will be required to present an accepted form of photo ID in order to be issued with a ballot paper. For more information on the requirement to bring photo ID, click here.

By post:
The deadline to register to vote by post in the Mayor of London and London Assembly elections is Wednesday 17 April 2024, at 5pm
For information on how to apply to vote by post, click here.
We must receive your completed postal vote pack by 10pm on polling day.
Please ensure you post your postal vote in sufficient time so that it can be delivered by Royal Mail.
By proxy:
The deadline to register to vote by proxy in the Mayor of London and London Assembly elections is Wednesday 24 April 2024, at 5pm.
