The Hounslow Careers Cluster, Expanding Horizons, Raising Aspirations, is a three-year project funded by the Mayor of London and the European Social Fund (ESF). It aims to better prepare young people (11-19) for the world of work through ensuring that our schools’ careers education provision is aligned with what is happening in the local labour market.
This is made possible through the work of our sub-contractor Spark, who play a vital role in helping to maintain strong relationships between businesses, participating schools, and West Thames College. Using their extensive network of contacts across the borough (and beyond), they’re able to put schools in touch with companies of all sizes that reflect their students’ interests and aspirations.
There is a great emphasis on ensuring that good practice is shared across all schools and businesses in the borough that will continue beyond the life of the contract, which ends in June 2023.
