- Have your details ready - including old and new addresses, moving date, and Council Tax account number (if available).
- Submit and confirm - we’ll send you a confirmation once your records are updated.

Why it matters
- Ensures Council Tax bills go to the right person.
- Keeps the electoral register up to date.
- Helps avoid delays or incorrect charges.
- You’re moving from another area, or
- You weren’t responsible for Council Tax at your previous home (e.g., living with parents)
You’ll need:
- Address and postcode of your new property
- Date moved in, tenancy start date / purchase date
- Details of the sellers or estate agents, if available
- You already pay Council Tax in Hounslow and are moving to another Hounslow address

Final bill
After your move is processed, Hounslow Council will send you a final bill showing any remaining balance.
- Any amount owed must be paid within 14 days unless you pay by direct debit then final payment will be taken on the next payment date.
