The Nature Recovery Action Plan (NRAP) is part of Hounslow's Greener Borough Framework, sitting under the adopted Green and Blue Infrastructure Strategy (GBI).

The NRAP contains a baseline review of all the natural designations within Hounslow. This includes nature conservation sites, Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC), priority and notable habitats, opportunity mapping, tree cover, allotments, watercourses and species heatmaps.

Using this evidence base, the plan then sets out the strategic actions and delivery plan to lead to nature recovery in the borough.

  • Strategic actions are those actions without a spatial element, and include conducting habitat surveys, data management, or engagement, for example.
  • Delivery Plan actions are the specific projects that, when delivered, will lead to nature recovery in the borough.
