Aluminium cans
Aluminium cans are mechanically separated from steel cans and the other recyclables in your red box at our materials handling facility in Southall Lane. These are tipped into their own bay alongside the aluminium cans we collect from properties using bulk bins. These cans are then grouped into half tonne bales before being inspected and tagged as high-quality.
Our facilities and sorting process enable us to sell our recycling to processors in the UK and abroad (these are all approved by the environment agency).
Other destinations we send Aluminium cans: Swansea and Germany.
