Cardboard
Cardboard is separated from the other recyclables in your blue box at our materials handling facility in Southall Lane and tipped into its own bay. This cardboard is then grouped into half tonne bales before being inspected and tagged as high-quality.
Our facilities and sorting process of kerbside properties enable us to sell our cardboard recycling to processors in the UK and abroad (these are all approved by the environment agency).
The cardboard we collect from flats is processed at a materials recovery facility as comingled recycling and sold to the processing markets.
Other destinations we send cardboard include: Barking, Canterbury, Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Germany, India, Turkey, Thailand, Pakistan, Indonesia, Taiwan.
